History of the organization

Gramin Yuva Pragatik Mandal is registered Organization under society’s registration act.1860 GYPM was formally formed in 1992 with the intiative of  Mr.Avil Borker and his like minde friends with the motivation for social change and sustainable development. Basically the group was formed non-formally in 1987 and promoters were actor in social and sustainable development. We are promoting process that would help poorer to enhance their livelihood resources and enjoy dignified life. GYPM has conducted various government program focusing social justice,youth & women development as well as on sustainable agriculture by using the community funds and involvement.

To mobilize and strengthen marginalized people for their rights and equal share in development process and social enlistment and promote that processes which will enhance the perspective of social, economical development and social justice to all the communities.

Future Plans


The organization is in the process of preparing a perspective plan with the new board. It is exploring a few options like extending operating area to chhatisgarh and MP.securtiy of permanent employment to staff, registration as per the companies act and get into marketing of the products manufactured by SHG women. All these options will be deliberated upon and the final perspective document will be prepared.
