FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER, IGNORANCE AND DISEASE

 
Vision

  • Maximization of rural purchasing power through use of local village natural resources and management.

  • Strengthening existing horizontal and vertical linkage between each FUNCTIONAL COMMUNITY AND Micro Functionl Community and Creating new ones .

  • Interface Between workers and participating community and other stake holders (get-togethers,rallies,symposia and workshops, self- help group formation).

Family helper (welfare) project

Reduction in

-under five child mortality rates to level of 70 per 1000 live births
-maternal mortality rates to half of 1990 levels.
-severe to moderate malnutrition in children under five years by half of 1990 levels.

Banphool project

  1. Establishment of primary and mother nurseries on SIRDI land
  2. Sub nurseries on small farmers land for economic benefit
  3. Forest protection jointly with forest department
  4. Tana Bana project-
  5. Training of tribal women in handloom weaving for economic support to family.
  6. Establishment of weaving center and formation of women primary handloom weaving cooperative for sustainable income generation for the beneficiaries

Defoland project

  1. Re-establish vegetation cover on denuded forest land with SIRDI.
  2. Help protect existing natural forests by joint action with forest authorities

Entrepreneurship development programme

  1. Training of tribal women and youth in setting up small enterprises.

Sirdi sahyog samitis
